Make a day of it
Start on the sand, practise with an English-speaking instructor, then enjoy free riding at Bagus Surfing School. Allow about three hours, including a 100-minute lesson and one hour of free surfing. Age 14+. April–October; times follow the tide. Bring swimwear and a towel and arrive 10 minutes early.
Before you choose
From the sand to the waves
Start with land practice, then take the board into the water with an instructor. The session finishes with time to practise independently; no previous surfing experience is needed.
Leave a three-hour window
Lessons run at Gwakji Beach, with starting times set around the tide. Keep roughly three hours free and arrive ten minutes before your booked start.
Pack for the beach
Bring swimwear, a towel, toiletries and dry clothes. A surfboard and shower access are included; a wetsuit, if needed, costs ₩10,000 to rent. Travel to the school is separate.

Can an eight-year-old join this option?
No. This group lesson is for ages 14 and over.
What happens if the weather changes?
Light rain does not automatically cancel the class. Staff decide based on sea and weather conditions; a weather cancellation by the school is fully refunded.
