A Seoraksan day tour does not automatically include the cable car. Choose the itinerary by time inside the park and its second stop, then budget the lift separately. Cable-car tickets are sold on the day, and weather or queues may make a park walk the better use of your visit.

Park plus a coastal temple
A Naksansa itinerary combines mountain time with a second visit. The cable car remains a separate purchase.
Cable car is the main aim
Allow flexibility for same-day sales and the return queue. A fixed coach departure limits how long you can wait.
Cable-car budget, separate from the coach tour
Official round-trip fares per person. These are not tour prices or a reservation for a departure time.

| Civitatis · Seoraksan day trip | English guide; Naksansa or Nami option; bus and admissions listed | Meals and cable car; Nami option lists ferry separately |

Klook’s Naksansa itinerary: use the park time carefully
The listed route starts at Hongik University at 07:20, with further pickups near Myeongdong and Dongdaemun. It allows three and a half hours in Seoraksan and one and a half at Naksansa. Naksansa admission and transport are included. The final Hongik return is scheduled for 19:50, subject to traffic; a same-evening flight would leave little margin.
Civitatis: the second stop changes the extras
The Civitatis product offers Naksansa and Nami alternatives. Both exclude the cable car and meals; the Nami option also lists the ferry as an extra. Its stated cancellation cutoff is 24 hours before the activity. These are alternative itineraries, so the same headline destination does not make them identical to the Klook Naksansa tour.
Buying the cable car on the day
The operator sells round trips on site and does not take advance reservations. Plan time for both the upward and return queues, then work backward from your coach meeting time. Wheelchairs can use the service, but strollers are not allowed on the cable car. This does not imply that a particular coach tour is wheelchair accessible.
Have a park plan that still works without the lift
For a short group-tour visit, a lower-park walk and time around the temple area are easier to fit than a long summit hike. If the cable car is your priority, ask for the return meeting point and time as soon as you arrive. If it is suspended, spend the available time in the park rather than waiting until the last minute for a reopening.
A good fit when…
- A full day from Seoul with flexible evening plans
Reconsider when…
- Treating the tour booking as a guaranteed cable-car ride
- Attempting a long summit hike within a short coach stop
A few things worth knowing
Can I reserve the Seorak cable car before my tour?
The operator sells same-day tickets on site. A coach-tour booking does not reserve a cable-car slot.
Is the cable car included in the Klook or Civitatis tours compared here?
No. Both listings put it outside the tour price. The exact selected itinerary also determines other inclusions and extras.
Before you go
- Park time and second destination
- Cable-car operation on the day
- Coach meeting time and location
