Start with your youngest traveller’s age and one booked activity. The National Museum of Korea’s Children’s Museum requires an online reservation even though admission is free. Myeongdong NANTA admits children from 12 months. A café or indoor activity is not automatically suitable for every age.

Free entry, booked time
Children’s Museum: secure the visit time before arranging the rest of the day.
A seated performance
NANTA: check the child’s admission category, seat needs and the chosen performance.
For older children
The reviewed Roof Cat Me ticket in Hongdae is for ages 12 and up; it is not an option for younger children.
Do the reservation before the journey
A free attraction can still have limited admission slots. Use the museum’s official reservation page to check the chosen session and who must be included in the booking. Treat the Children’s Museum as a separate booking from a visit to the main museum. If the desired session is full, change the day or choose another activity before travelling there.
Match NANTA tickets to each child
The theatre lists free entry through 35 months and paid tickets from age three. Confirm how a young child is seated and what proof of age is needed with your chosen seller. NANTA uses percussion and physical comedy; consider how your child feels about loud sound and sitting through a performance when choosing a show time.
Choose one anchor, then leave room
For a museum day, build around the reserved session, a nearby meal and a flexible journey home. For a Myeongdong show day, eat before the performance and leave time to collect tickets. These are two different starting plans, not a recommendation to rush between both areas. An unbooked afternoon can be more useful than another timed attraction.
Compare the family total
Enter every child’s age on the seller’s page instead of multiplying the adult starting price. Add the transport you will actually use and any separately paid seats or meals. If using a stroller, check the venue entrance, storage and station route before booking; an indoor venue alone does not establish step-free access.
A good fit when…
- One timed activity with flexible meals and a manageable route back to your accommodation.
Reconsider when…
- A plan built around adult prices or age-unchecked “family-friendly” labels.
Before you go
- Check the youngest child’s exact age on the visit date.
- Reserve the museum session or performance before fixing the rest of the day.
- Keep meal, nap and return-transport time in the plan.
