Rain in Seoul? Make a day of a museum, good food and NANTA
An indoor day with time to dry off, eat well and enjoy a show.

A wet forecast needn’t mean a lost day. Give the afternoon to a museum, sit down for a proper meal, then head to a show. The trick is to leave the time between those plans open: enough for a slow lunch, a warm drink and the journey to the theatre.
Use the National Museum of Korea as a flexible indoor anchor and reserve an evening show only after checking its exact venue. Museum general admission is free, while some special exhibitions have separate charges.
Keep costs flexible
Start with general museum galleries; add a paid show only if it fits.
Travelling with children
Check children’s museum reservations and theatre age rules separately.
Need step-free access
Confirm the entire route and the specific theatre entrance before paying.
Build the day around what matters
- 01
Choose the galleries you most want to see
Look at the museum’s visitor page on the day you go. Pick a small number of galleries instead of trying to finish the building. Separate special exhibition tickets from general admission, and check closure notices before travelling.
- 02
Leave a proper lunch and transfer break
Choose lunch near your next useful transit connection. A journey between indoor venues still has outdoor sections. Save both destination addresses and choose an accessible station exit if stairs are a concern.
- 03
Arrive for the ticket process, not just curtain-up
For Myeongdong Nanta, check the selected performance and seat category at the seller. Keep your booking reference ready and allow for any ticket collection. Do not use a Seoul ticket when intending to attend the Jeju venue.

The details that make it easier
Indoor does not automatically mean accessible
Ask the theatre about the entrance, stairs and suitable seats for your needs. An accessibility icon on a marketplace is not a substitute for the venue’s specific instructions.
Have a no-ticket version
If the show is sold out, keep the museum and a relaxed meal. A useful rain plan should still work without buying a replacement under pressure.
Make this plan yours
Your checks stay on this browser, including when you change language.
Before you go
Is every museum exhibition free?
No. General admission is free; some special exhibitions charge separately.
Does a show ticket include transport?
Only if the selected product explicitly includes it. Plan the journey independently otherwise.
