A food pop-up near Pusan National University will put Busan-grown Hwanggeumyechan rice into four contemporary formats from October 31 to November 21. It is best treated as a small culinary detour rather than a full festival, and travelers should verify the precise storefront, opening hours and workshop dates before visiting.

Four ways to sample the rice

Busan’s Agricultural Technology Center says the pop-up will present and sell four developed items: a salad, rice balls, traditional liquor and gelato. The concept follows the products from recipe development and evaluation into public tasting and sales.

The announcement does not give an exact storefront address, daily operating hours, stock guarantees, allergen information or English-language service. Confirm those details before traveling specifically for the pop-up.

Workshop dates need direct confirmation

The city lists rice-crispy snack sessions on November 7 and 14. Its summary also prints one dining-program date as November 31, which is not a valid calendar date, so the corrected schedule must be confirmed with the organizer.

Do not assume that browsing the pop-up automatically includes a workshop place. Registration method, capacity, cost and eligibility are not established in the published summary and may be separate from ordinary food purchases.

Make it a neighborhood stop

The Pusan National University area has cafés and casual dining, so the pop-up can fit into a flexible neighborhood visit once the address is confirmed. It is not bundled with any city tour, attraction ticket or aquarium admission listed below.

Before you go

  • Confirm the exact address and daily opening hours.
  • Ask for the corrected date of the dining program.
  • Check workshop registration, capacity and price separately.
  • Request allergen details directly before purchasing food.
