BUSAN · 2026 BUSAN URBAN REGENERATION EXPO
Busan Urban Regeneration Expo Brings a Public Weekend to Yeongdo
Busan’s 10th Urban Regeneration Expo moves to Yeongdo with neighbourhood displays, a waterfront programme and public activities over one weekend.

Busan’s citywide urban-regeneration showcase arrives in Yeongdo on October 24–25. For travellers, it offers more than policy displays: an event route around Blue Port 2021 and the Bongnae waterfront includes performances, games, stamps and a site-tour bus, subject to the final schedule.
A city exhibition tied to one waterfront district
The tenth edition brings together official presentations, project displays and publicity booths from across Busan, while placing the public programme in Yeongdo’s port landscape. Blue Port 2021 and the Bongnae-dong waterfront are the two named locations, so visitors should expect movement between indoor and outdoor spaces rather than a single convention-hall circuit.
Pick the public activities, then confirm capacity
Busan’s announcement highlights an on-site tour bus, an urban-regeneration game, busking and a stamp tour in addition to opening events, seminars and competitions. Those activities make the expo useful even for visitors without a professional interest in planning. However, the release does not give every session time, language or capacity rule, so check the final programme before building the day around a bus or seminar.
Use Yeongdo as the day’s anchor
Comfortable shoes and a flexible schedule will help on the waterfront, where weather and local operations can affect movement. The archive image above shows Gamcheon Culture Village, not the venue, and serves only as a wider Busan regeneration reference. KoreaSeek’s related sightseeing links below are separate paid products; they do not register you for the expo.
Before you go
- Set aside October 24 or 25 for the expo at Blue Port 2021 and the Bongnae-dong waterfront in Yeongdo.
- The official preview lists exhibitions, seminars, performances, a stamp route and a site-tour bus, but detailed session times may differ.
- Check advance-registration and capacity rules for the tour bus and any seminar before travelling.
- Wear comfortable shoes because the programme spans more than one venue around a working waterfront district.
- Related KoreaSeek tours are separate commercial bookings and are not expo registration.
