GYEONGJU · DONGGUNGWON AUTUMN FLOWER DISPLAY
Donggungwon’s autumn flowers: a flexible Gyeongju stop into November
Gyeongju Donggungwon is adding about 20,000 autumn flowers and photo areas, with the display expected to remain into early or mid-November.

Gyeongju Donggungwon is being dressed with chrysanthemums, cosmos, dahlias, pampas grass and kochia for an autumn flower display expected to last into early or mid-November. The city says installation is being completed in stages, so this works best as a flexible seasonal stop rather than a single-date festival.
What is being installed
The plan uses roughly 20,000 chrysanthemums, cosmos and dahlias, alongside pampas grass and kochia. Dahlias and poinsettias are also being used inside the botanical garden, while seasonal planting and photo areas are spread through the outdoor space.
Timing is approximate, not a fixed festival schedule
Gyeongju said the display would be completed progressively through the third week of October and that the autumn scenery was expected to remain until early or mid-November. The announcement does not give a final closing date for the flowers.
Seasonal condition depends on weather and the stage of installation. Check current opening hours, ticket information and display condition close to the visit rather than treating the projected period as a guarantee of peak bloom.
Use it as the adjustable part of a Gyeongju day
A garden stop is easier to move than a timed class or guided tour. If another booking is the priority, place Donggungwon before or after it only after checking travel time and final admission.
The linked heritage tour and cooking experience are independent commercial products with their own prices, meeting points, language arrangements and availability. Neither is included with Donggungwon admission.
Before you go
- Check Donggungwon’s current opening hours and admission price.
- Look for a recent display update because installation and bloom condition can change.
- Confirm last admission before placing the garden late in the day.
- Book any linked tour or cooking class separately.
