A compact afternoon on Wolmido will bring together Incheon’s living performance and craft traditions on October 24. The event is free, but visitors should plan for a Korean-language cultural programme and an outdoor setting.

Nine performances in a five-hour window

The opening begins at 13:00 and the official sequence continues to 18:00. Announced acts include flower-welcoming rites, Pyeongsan sonori-gut from Hwanghae Province, male gagok, Gyeonggi twelve-japga, tea ceremony, hwimori-japga, Seogot field songs, Gabbigocha nongak and Bupyeong dure-nori. Rather than a single headline show, this is best approached as a sampler of traditions carried by local holders and transmission artists.

Crafts give the afternoon a second pace

A display area will present work associated with bow-and-arrow making, the danso flute, paper flowers and daegeum making. That offers a quieter counterpoint to the stage, useful for visitors who prefer to move between performance and close-looking. The city announcement confirms free public viewing but does not specify English labels, interpretation or reserved seats.

Make Wolmido the anchor, not a rushed add-on

Weekend traffic to the waterfront can be slow, so arrive early and keep the afternoon flexible. Check the city page if rain or wind is forecast because the special stage is described as an outdoor venue. KoreaSeek’s related city tours below are optional, separately booked itineraries; neither one functions as festival admission.

Before you go

  • Arrive at Wolmido Galmaegi Hall before the 13:00 opening on Saturday, October 24 if you want the full performance sequence.
  • The published programme runs until 18:00 and combines an outdoor stage with a craft display area.
  • Admission is free, but seating arrangements and multilingual interpretation are not stated.
  • Allow extra time for weekend travel to Wolmido and check the official notice for weather-related changes.
  • Treat any KoreaSeek tour below as a separate booking; it is not festival entry.
