INCHEON · 2026 INCHEON MARATHON ON CHEONGNA SKY BRIDGE
Incheon Marathon 2026 puts the Cheongna Sky Bridge on the route
The November 22 international marathon will use Incheon’s new sea-crossing bridge, creating a distinctive race-day route and transport changes.

Incheon will stage its international full-course marathon on November 22, with the Cheongna Sky Bridge incorporated into the course. The sea-crossing section is the event’s clearest draw, but it also means visitors should plan around race-day road controls rather than treating the bridge as an ordinary sightseeing stop. Participation, spectating and unrelated Incheon tours have different access conditions.
What is newly announced
Incheon City says the 2026 event is co-hosted with the Korea Association of Athletics Federations and organised with the city and Incheon athletics bodies. Its central travel feature is a route using the Cheongna Sky Bridge, presented as an open-water running setting for the city’s internationally certified full marathon.
Runner versus spectator planning
Running the course requires advance race registration and should not be confused with free roadside viewing. The city release confirms the November 22 event date but does not establish walk-up registration, remaining places, foreign-language support or a universal spectator zone, so verify those points with the organiser.
Allow for race-day disruption
A bridge marathon normally changes traffic and public access along the controlled course, even if the final closure map is published separately. Check the organiser’s route notice and local transport updates shortly before November 22, and avoid building a tight airport, rail or paid-tour connection around roads near Cheongna.
Before you go
- Confirm race registration status, entry fee and participant requirements with the organiser.
- Check the final course map, road closures and spectator guidance before November 22.
- Allow extra travel time for buses, taxis and private vehicles near Cheongna.
- Do not assume any linked Incheon tour includes marathon entry or bridge access.
